Kudos to spotting the hidden line. Echoing others in the comments section, why would China want to invest in the US in the first place? What does it gain specifically? Given what happened to LG engineers and Fuyao factories, why the renewed interests? AI chips?
This is all so stupid and predictable. China will have sold TikTok for nothing, the US is not agreement-capable... It will renege on everything, China will be left with nothing.
The U.S (and the broader collective West) is so politically unstable and bankrupt... Makes me wonder: 1) should China really pursue this, if the said significant barriers are even penetrable, and 2) even if this is initially the case, is it really a plausible mid-to-long-term scenario?
