Remember Hitler's playbook (among others). Before expansion through military means, must come homefront consolidation, unification, protection of flanks, etc.

It only makes sense. Especially when the U.S still relies on China so much for rare earth imports. Please do not trust these people not to have a very severe bellicose stance towards China a few years from here, though.
