Speaking as someone who lives in the EU, I would like to ask Josep Borrell the following questions:

Did you and your colleagues and your predecessors at the EU to everything in your power to prevent war from breaking out in Ukraine? For example, did you take seriously Russia's long-stated red line about NATO membership for Georgia and Ukraine? Did you work to ensure that France and Germany, the two EU signatories of the Minsk Accord, fulfill their responsibilities? Did you and your colleagues at the EU and NATO respond constructively to Russia's call in December 2021, shortly before hostilities broke out, for a new security architecture for Europe? I for one see no justification for the EU taking the moral high ground viz-a-viz the relationship with China. Some self-reflection is needed.
