'The Chinese side firmly opposes the Dutch authorities’ overstretching of the “national security” concept and direct administrative interference in the internal affairs of enterprises. The Dutch move not only violates the spirit of contract and the principles of market economy,'
1. Over and over we hear this complaint of "overstretching" national security. It remains undefined and vague.
2. The PRC calls itself a socialist country. Yet it wants to export capital to capitalist Holland. And then it champions "the principles of market economy." What a tangled ball of inconsistent threads.
Somewhat share that feeling as well. Plenty of past statements arise the same idea when juxtaposed with current events/status quo of Chinese policy.
China mustn't blunder the golden opportunity it now has. But with fascism back on the rise among its enemies, replaying the (Northern) Song dynasty won't work. It will take more than speeches and sermons - especially when it various instances these contain some significant shortcomings - for China to rise to the occasion.

Great analysis. US is behaving totally erratically. I would never believe that a Chinese leader behaved disrespectful ly.
