Western propagandists, like Geremie R. Barmé, and lying politicians, like Kevin Rudd, try to interpolate themselves between China's plain, always truthful words and 'interpret' them for us – always from a Western mainstream POV, always imputing sinister motives.

I have been studying the PRC since 1961. They have the most popular, honest, transparent government in world history – as their stats and track record amply demonstrate.

Just read what they say. Ignore sleazy interpreters.

Fascinating. Did not know this part of Chinese history. The tax pymt aspect recalls MMT. Wonder if the MMT’ers such as Kelton is aware of this history
